April’s Sacred Call: Find Your Strength in Oneness

Every Wednesday morning, my church hosts a support group for entrepreneurs and business owners. It begins at 7:30 a.m., and I’ll be honest—sometimes I sleep in. But whenever I do make it, I leave feeling renewed, fortified, favored, and courageous.

We share our frustrations, our challenges, our triumphs—and most importantly, our God. It’s a space of honesty and encouragement. This morning, our group leader said something that stopped me in my tracks:

“You were made incomplete.”

I bristled. It rubbed against everything I believed about being whole, being enough. But then he continued:

“We are one body.”

We weren’t made incomplete to be insufficient—we were made incomplete to be interdependent. Each of us plays a role in the greater whole, and our design invites us to rely on each other, to work together, to lean in. I went from indignation to comfort in just a few moments. What a relief—to know I don’t have to do everything on my own.

This is what Oneness invites us into: not uniformity, but unity. A divine interweaving of strengths, stories, and support. We each bring something unique to the body, but we are not the body alone.

A Simple Practice in Oneness:

Before the end of April, reach out to someone whose gifts, wisdom, or presence you rely on—whether they know it or not. Send a message, make a call, or meet in person. Tell them the role they play in your life and thank them for being part of your “body.”

Then, take a moment to reflect:

  • Where do I see interdependence in my daily life?

  • How might I embrace my own incompleteness as sacred?

Share your experience in the comments below. Let’s create a living reminder that we are never alone, and we were never meant to be.

Let April remind you: your strength is not in doing it all—your strength is in Oneness.
