Sacred Centuries
WATCH VIDEO ABOVE
Dear Friends,
I am preparing for a pedaling pilgrimage around the United States on my bicycle. And, I would like to invite you along. In the Spring of 2021, I will set out to pedal a “sacred century” in each of the fifty states across America. Specifically, I will be pedaling at least 100 continuous miles and visiting various spiritually significant sites in the course of twenty-four hours in each state. These sites might be buildings, such as churches, monasteries, mosques or meeting houses; they might be burial grounds, specific graves in cemeteries, or lands/waterways where historic events or gatherings took place. These places may be sacred to many, or known by only a few.
This is where you come in. I would be so grateful for your input regarding the sacred sites I might plan to visit. What sacred sites in your state are particularly moving to you personally, and/or significant to spiritual/religious communities around you? Also, if you know of someone specific, who might I contact in advance about seeing and celebrating that sacred site?

In addition to pedaling and praising some of the places that have and/or continue to inspire and instruct us about many wisdom traditions around the United States, I hope to meet up with as many of my dear One Spirit sisters and brothers as possible. I’d love the opportunity to hear about your sacred work during this time of upheaval and transformation in our country, and around the world. Of course, we’re living in a state of wait-and-see regarding COVID-19. So, making specific plans for group gatherings will be dependent on the status of the coronavirus. As things unfold, and my itinerary begins to emerge, I will reach out again with details and contact information. For now, beloved friends, thank you so much for your heartwarming help. I so look forward to sharing this journey with you all.
With deep bows of love and gratitude,
Rev. Julie Brooks
