In a world where our access to information and others is constant, it is easy to move through life on automatic pilot, forgetting that our authentic, embodied presence can be a lifeline of peace and healing for ourselves and others. When we are hurried, stressed, overworked, and overscheduled, we lose touch with our natural compassion.

Across this day of retreat and renewal, we will

  • Unpack the seven essential attitudes of mindfulness practice, common obstacles to practice and how to work with them, and the power of self-care

  • Use mindfulness practices to learn how to slow down and reconnect to our deepest values and desire to be of service

  • Explore ways to be fully present to our life experiences and train our attention so we can bring the gift of our embodied presence of peace and compassion to a world in need

This class is appropriate for anyone, regardless of previous experience with mindfulness practice.
