Sacred Text Series: A Course in Miracles

A New Way of Seeing: Forgiveness as a Path to Peace

We have more access to the world's troubles than ever before. News travels instantly, and the constant stream of information can leave us feeling overwhelmed, unsettled, or powerless.

A Course in Miracles begins with a different response. Rather than trying to change the world around us, it asks us to examine how we perceive it. Through forgiveness, we can begin to release the judgments and fears that keep us from experiencing peace.

Presented as a divinely inspired, self-directed course in spiritual psychotherapy, ACIM offers a path toward a deeper relationship with the Allness of the Divine Beloved.

The way we see the world shapes how we experience it.

In the first workshop of One Spirit Learning Alliance's Sacred Texts Series: Navigating Crisis, we'll explore how forgiveness, love, and a shift in perception can change our relationships with ourselves, others, and the world.

What We'll Study

The Origin and History of A Course in Miracles

Learn about the circumstances in which A Course in Miracles emerged, its development as a spiritual teaching, and its approach to understanding the relationship between the mind, perception, and spiritual experience.

The Text, Workbook, and Manual for Teachers

Explore the three parts of A Course in Miracles Combined Volume: The Text, The Workbook for Students, and The Manual for Teachers. Together, these writings introduce the Course's teachings and provide a framework for putting them into practice.

Forgiveness as a Path to Peace

In ACIM, forgiveness is more than letting go of resentment. It is a change in perception that allows us to recognize where fear and judgment have shaped our understanding. We'll explore how this practice can deepen our relationship with the Divine Beloved and bring greater peace into daily life.

What You’ll Take Away

  • A clearer understanding of ACIM's origins, structure, and central teachings.

  • A new perspective on forgiveness as a spiritual practice.

  • Ways to recognize how perception influences relationships, choices, and inner peace.
